The 2016 XC 90 will be the first vehicle to utilize Volvo’s Scalable Product Architecture (SPA). Scalable product architecture will allow Volvo to include high number of new and unique features. Almost 90% of components in the 2016 Volvo XC 90 are new and unique.
SPA chassis technology enabled engineers to design a vehicle that is lighter with improved weight distribution. SPA also encourages more versatility inside the cabin and allowing the seats to be adjustable in order to seat a total of 7 passengers.
The 2016 Volvo XC 90 is expected to arrive at Los Angeles dealer showrooms and across nation towards the end of spring.
